The Star Brisbane has unveiled a sneak preview of its Event Centre which has a capacity to cater for up to 2,000 guests
and will be anchored by Brisbane’s largest hotel ballroom.
The Event Centre is one of more than 50 new venues and experiences that will make up the 12-hectare precinct,
including The Star’s signature luxury hotel, a sprawling Sports Bar and a reimagined Fat Noodle restaurant by celebrity
chef Luke Nguyen, who has enjoyed a decade-long partnership with The Star across its Brisbane and Sydney resorts.
“Brisbane is on the precipice of being the next foodie capital of Australia,” he said.
“The food offerings, the art and culture, and tourism is growing, and the city is making a name for itself in its own right.
There’s an undeniable buzz about town that is only going to be supercharged by the opening of The Star Brisbane next year.”
At the heart of the resort is The Star Grand, Brisbane’s newest five-star hotel offering 340 luxury rooms across two towers overlooking Brisbane River.
Hotel guests will have exclusive access to three pools on the resort’s Leisure Deck, a 12,000sqm open-air oasis of public space,
plus direct access to The Star Brisbane’s striking showpiece Sky Deck, a 250m rooftop runway of restaurants and bars floating 100m above the Brisbane River.
