Category: Event VIPs

I enjoy engaging with people and gaining an understanding of 'their story'. With my love of travel and experience with producing successful events across the world I've been fortunate to work with incredible people. I am strongly passionate about health and lifestyle and enjoy participating in Triathlon events.

I have a full understanding of all aspects of event management including initial concept development, program management, client and stakeholder liaison, event planning/logistics, project management, volunteer and contractor management, marketing, sponsorship and post event reporting. With a well-developed and diverse skill set and a love of learning I consistently build my knowledge and skill set in each role I take on.

I pride myself on my strong interpersonal skills which I utilise both internally with staff and externally with clients and stakeholders. I enjoy working collaboratively with staff and volunteers, creating a positive work environment, and effectively managing stakeholder expectations and engagement.

My key strengths include:
- 100% commitment to my work
- Attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and logical thought processes
- Creativity in thinking and problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to think critically in order to improve on outcomes

The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine is the peak body for training and advocacy of emergency physician specialists across Australia and New Zealand with a membership base of approx 7000.

I am responsible for a breadth of events including the Annual Scientific Meeting (ACEM's major engagement activity for the year, held nationally and internationally), biannual Winter Symposium (research meeting, held nationally and internationally) and various aspects of state based meetings. I am also responsibility for the events management of advocacy meetings and internal project based events including the launch of the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

I regularly engage with and have built strong working relationships with a number of external stakeholders such as Fellows, Trainees, Minsters, Directors, Corporate Sponsors and Exhibitors and suppliers. I have also coordinate several department discussions, particularly through Education and Policy and Advocacy.

I work closely with the governance advisers to plan and execute various internal policies, terms of reference and guidelines. I provide written reports to the countless committees and the board on a regular basis.
