IMARC picks Sydney for a fourth year

Category: Sydney

The International Mining and Resources Conference + Expo (IMARC) will head to Sydney for a fourth year on October 21-23 2025.

ince the move to Sydney, IMARC has seen a 35 per cent increase in speakers and delegates with a record 9,000 attendees from 115 countries over three days attending this year.

The conference and expo have already sold around 70 per cent of exhibition space for next year.

Natural Resources Minister Courtney Houssos said the conference shows the state is “open for business”.

“NSW is on the cusp of realising the opportunities in energy, but we know we’re not alone in the global race,” Houssos said.

Business Events Sydney CEO Lyn Lewis-Smith said it was great to see IMARC’s return to Sydney for a third consecutive year in 2024 was its biggest yet and the largest business event on Sydney’s 2024 calendar.

“The conference program facilitates vital conversations on ESG reporting and circularity, showcasing to the world how Australia is transitioning its economy,” she said.

“Our research shows that as well as generating an estimated $17.8 million of direct expenditure into the NSW economy from the 9,000 attendees gathering in Sydney for three days, world-leading business events like IMARC 2024 are also a platform for collaboration, innovation and attracting investment and talent.”

IMARC will be held at International Convention Centre Sydney from 21-23 October 2025.
